Texas criminal defense: Police chase ends with arrest

Police in Texas supposedly attempted a traffic stop after noticing an alleged traffic violation. The driver is said to have declined to cooperate, leading to a police chase around the Houston area. This ultimately ended with the driver being arrested. With the seriousness of the accusations made in this case, the accused deserves the best criminal defense possible.

According to a local news report, just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, police tried to stop a man for committing an undisclosed traffic violation while operating his vehicle on Homestead. This individual is said to have kept going, however, and ended up heading southbound on Interstate 45. When he reached Park Place, he struck spike strips that law enforcement had laid out on the road, causing him to stop his vehicle. He then got out of his car and started dancing for officers until he was tackled by a police dog.

The accused was promptly taken into custody. He has been charged with evading. It is unknown if any court dates have been in regard to this matter.

An evading charge is nothing to take lightly, as it will not be treated with any level of leniency in a Texas criminal court. The accused individual could face some serious consequences if he is convicted. However, he and his criminal defense attorney will have the opportunity to review the facts of the case and question any evidence offered against him which may bring to light new information that could prove beneficial to him in court.
